Closing Out a Year I Never Saw Coming

If you would’ve asked me at the beginning of this year what the next twelve months would look like, I would’ve been completely wrong.
This year stretched me. It surprised me. It broke me open in ways I didn’t expect—and then rebuilt me stronger than I ever imagined.
On July 14th, I walked away from a job I truly thought I’d be at forever. A place I poured my heart into. A place I believed was home. Leaving was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. And like most big transitions, it came with clarity—some of it painful. I learned a lot about the “friends” I thought I had once I was gone. That part stung.
But what I didn’t expect?
The right people showed up.
Some of the most incredible humans chose to walk alongside me, support me, and eventually build something brand new with me. Those friendships? They’re the kind that change your life.
Around the same time, I started a new job in Covington and met the most amazing group of women. Strong, supportive, funny, talented—the kind of coworkers you don’t want to leave even when life pulls you in different directions. I only get to see them PRN now, but they’ll always have a special place in my heart.
Then came August 2nd.
A random day. A swim with my three best friends. One of those moments that feels small at the time but ends up changing everything.
Someone casually said, “Y’all should open a business.”
And we laughed.
Then paused.
Then said… okay.
Four days later, on August 6th, I applied for the LLC.
On September 1st, TriLuxe Health officially opened its doors.
And whew—what a ride it has been.
What started as an idea has turned into something so much bigger than I ever dreamed. Today, 25 incredible people are part of TriLuxe. Twenty-five hardworking, compassionate, passionate individuals who don’t just work here—they belong here. Friends. Teammates. People who believe in caring deeply, serving intentionally, and building something meaningful together.
Just when it felt like we had found our rhythm, November arrived with another reminder of how fragile life can be.
My aunt suffered an aortic dissection.
It was terrifying. Sudden. The kind of moment that stops everything else in its tracks. Watching someone you love fight through something so serious changes you. She faced it with strength and resilience—and she’s recovering like a champ. That experience shifted my perspective in a big way. It made me slow down. It made me grateful. And it made me want to hold my family a little tighter and never take a single moment for granted.
TriLuxe isn’t just a business.
It’s a leap of faith.
It’s healing.
It’s courage.
It’s choosing growth even when it’s uncomfortable.
This year taught me that sometimes the life you’re afraid to step into ends up being the one that fits you best.
As this year closes, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude—for the lessons, the losses, the love, the friendships that carried me, the health scares that reset priorities, and the wild, beautiful ride that led us here.
Here’s to trusting the leap.
Here’s to holding family closer.
Here’s to building something real.
Here’s to TriLuxe—and the incredible people who make it what it is.
And here’s to what’s next. 💫
